The Colorado Rocky Mountains are home to millions of acres of Aspen trees.  Come Fall, those Aspens leaves explode into amazing expanses of fluorescent yellows, fiery reds and brilliant oranges. With their unique pole straight white bark contrasting against the colored leaves, the Aspen trees of Colorado rank as one of the most beautiful Fall photographic destinations.

Beyond the Aspen’s salute to color, you also are treated to newly snow capped mountain peaks making the perfect background for your photographs.  Crisp, clean, cloudless skies dominate the Fall season (actually it dominates all our seasons here) causing the leaves to glow with a nearly unnatural iridescence.

The extreme variations in altitude here in the Rocky Mountains allow us to “chase” the colors down the mountains. The leaves in the High Country will begin their transformation as early as mid-September, while the front range trees can sometimes hold out until late October.  Even so, the best photography opportunities at the prime locations are limited to a relatively short period, so make your reservations well in advance.

Single day tours will take place in the Central Rockies between Denver, Vail, Aspen and surrounding areas.  Multi-day tours can be custom planned and can be routed to other areas of the state (In particular the San Juan Range which has some of the most spectacular Fall colors).
